(1) In case of the death or relinquishment of citizenship of a person whose name is included in the electoral roll, the member of his single family or any other person shall give a notice to the registration officer along with proof.
(2) Upon receipt of the notice as per sub-section (1), the name registration officer shall remove such voter's name from the voter's list as prescribed, if such behavior is found to be reasonable upon investigation as prescribed. However, even if the notification is not received as per sub-section (1), if any voter gets married and migrates to another place, his name is registered in the voter list of that place as per section 9 or he migrates to another place for other reasons or dies or renounces his citizenship or his citizenship is revoked, the name The registration officer shall remove the name of such voter from the electoral roll.
(3) If a name is removed from the voter's list in accordance with this section, the name registration officer shall file the notification in the respective ward office of the concerned rural municipality or municipality.
